Man seriously injured Sunday in Scottsdale hit-and-run

A man was hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and 3rd Avenue, and the driver left the scene, police said.

The collision occurred about 2:20 a.m. May 25 when the man was crossing westbound Scottsdale Road. The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a Scottsdale Police Department release.

Initial reports indicated the pedestrian was improperly crossing the street,  and police said an investigation is ongoing.

Man seriously injured Sunday in Scottsdale hit-and-run

A man was hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and 3rd Avenue, and the driver left the scene, police said.

The collision occurred about 2:20 a.m. May 25 when the man was crossing westbound Scottsdale Road. The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a Scottsdale Police Department release.

Initial reports indicated the pedestrian was improperly crossing the street,  and police said an investigation is ongoing.

The road was closed from 2:30 a.m. to about 6:30 a.m.
