Man sentenced for conspiring to steal trade secret from Scottsdale business

A 48-year-old-man has been sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty last month to conspiring to steal a trade secret from a Scottsdale company where he worked as a senior manager.

Guy Galanti, who lived in Scottsdale, was previously charged for conspiring to steal a trade secret on Sept. 10,  and was arrested the following day. He has been in custody since his arrest and pleaded guilty on May 26 to conspiring to steal a trade secret, according to a release from the Arizona division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Galanti worked as a senior level manager for Green Technology Investments, which services semiconductor testing machines and sells “remanufactured semiconductor testing machines with new functionalities designed by GTI,” the release stated.
