Man on motorcycle dies in crash in south Phoenix

A 43-year-old man on a motorcycle died Wednesday afternoon in a crash in south Phoenix, Phoenix Police said Thursday in a release.

Officers responded to the area of 27th Avenue and Southern Avenue about 5:40 p.m. April 8 regarding a collision involving a motorcycle, according to a release.

When officers arrived, they located a man, later identified as 43-year-old Jason David Irons-Raiter, in critical condition. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported Irons-Raiter to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
