Man on bike killed in collision with semi-truck in north Phoenix

A 62-year-old man on a bike was killed in a collision in north Phoenix Monday afternoon, Phoenix Police said Tuesday in a release.

A 62-year-old man on a bike was killed in a collision in north Phoenix Monday afternoon, Phoenix Police said Tuesday in a press release.

According to the release, at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 7, Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire responded to reports of a vehicle collision near 19th Avenue and Mountain View Road.

Upon arrival, first responders located a man, later identified as Randy Cook, who had been riding an electric bicycle. Cook was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
