A 40-year-old man is dead following a shooting late Friday night near 22nd Street and Broadway Road, police said.
Officers responded just before midnight Feb. 7 and found Isaiah Young with a gunshot wound. He was in the common area of an apartment complex near 2200 East Broadway Road. Young died at a hospital, Phoenix police reported in a release.
Police contacted a man at the scene who acknowledged his involvement with the shooting, according to a release.
Detectives spoke to the shooter and witnesses and reviewed evidence. The man was released pending further investigation.
