Phoenix Police are investigating a shooting in west Phoenix that left one man dead.
Officers responded to the area of 81st Avenue and Indian School Road about 11 p.m. Oct. 2 regarding a shooting, accoring to the release.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male with at least one gunshot wound lying on the ground next to a running SUV. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Phoenix Police are investigating a shooting in west Phoenix that left one man dead.
Officers responded to the area of 81st Avenue and Indian School Road about 11 p.m. Oct. 2 regarding a shooting, accoring to the release.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male with at least one gunshot wound lying on the ground next to a running SUV. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
Homicide detectives began the investigation and began processing the scene, the release said. Preliminary information suggests a dark colored SUV was seen near the victim when the shooting happened.
