Man killed in three-vehicle accident in Phoenix

A man was killed Sunday morning after the vehicle he was driving was involved in an accident with two semi-trucks.

Police responded about 10:42 a.m. to the area near 72nd Avenue and Buckeye Road and found Marshall Craig Davis, 68, unresponsive in his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the Phoenix Police Department.

Preliminary investigation indicates Davis drifted into the eastbound lanes where he collided head-on with one of the semi-tractors; the second semi-tractor was forced off the road by the first semi-tractor due to the collision. It is unknown at this time what may have caused Davis to drift into the eastbound lanes.
