Man indicted for killing teenage girl, two babies

An 18-year-old man was indicted in the shooting death of his teenage ex-girlfriend and her unborn baby, and is responsible for the death of another baby, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced in a release on Friday.

According to the release, Michael Sanchez shot two pregant teenage girls in Buckeye on May 14, one of them being his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend. The 16-year-old and her unborn baby died, and the 17-year-old teenage girl that was shot was forced to deliver her baby early, who died days later.

A grand jury indicted Sanchez on three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggrevated assault, and one count of interference with a monitoring device.
