Phoenix police detectives are investigating a collision that left a man dead early Thursday morning.
The crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. June 19 near 67th Avenue and Osborn Road where responding officers found a man from one of the vehicles who had died at the scene of the collision.
There also were two adults in the other vehicle involved who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives took over the investigation, and preliminary information indicates that the vehicle of the man who died was traveling south on 67th Avenue when, for unknown reasons, it entered the northbound lanes of traffic and collided with the other vehicle involved, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
Additional details about the collision remain part of the ongoing investigation, police said. The man who died has not been identified.
