Man dies in head-on Glendale crash

A fatal head-on collision Friday morning in Glendale near the intersection of 51st and Peoria aveunues will affect traffic for most of the morning.

Glendale Police stated in a release the intersection is closed in all directions so commuters should avoid this area.  Detectives are on their way to investigate the cause of the crash and the road is expected to be shut down for several hours.

The crash occurred in front of a Circle K about 6:20 a.m., which is the when Glendale Police received numerous 911 calls.

Man dies in head-on Glendale crash

A fatal head-on collision Friday morning in Glendale near the intersection of 51st and Peoria aveunues will affect traffic for most of the morning.

Glendale Police stated in a release the intersection is closed in all directions so commuters should avoid this area.  Detectives are on their way to investigate the cause of the crash and the road is expected to be shut down for several hours.

The crash occurred in front of a Circle K about 6:20 a.m., which is the when Glendale Police received numerous 911 calls.

A sedan collided with a mid-sized SUV.  One of the men driving the cars died at the scene.

According to police, the man driving the second vehicle has a serious injury, but it appears to be non-life threatening as of 7:30 a.m. Friday.
