Man dies in collision with vehicle in south Phoenix

A 58-year-old man died Tuesday in a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, the Phoenix Police Department said Thursday in a release.
Officers responded to the area of 37th Avenue and Thomas Road about 8 p.m. March 17 regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man, later identified as Jeffery Dale Anderson, in critical condition. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene, according to the release.
