Police ID man killed in officer-involved Apache Junction shooting

Charles Back, 69, has been identified as the man killed Feb. 14 after a shooting involving Apache Junction police officers, authorities said Tuesday.

Mesa Police Department detectives, as part of the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, are investigating the officer-involved shooting that occurred 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 near Shiprock Street and Main Drive.
