Man dies after stabbing near downtown Phoenix bus stop

A 43-year-old man died at a hospital over the weekend after being stabbed Saturday night near 100 South 15th Avenue, police said.

Officers found Walter MacDonald injured near a bus stop  at about 7:10 p.m. Feb. 8, and he was taken to a hospital.

A man at the scene acknowledged his involvement in the stabbing, police said.

A 43-year-old man died at a hospital over the weekend after being stabbed Saturday night near 100 South 15th Avenue, police said.

Officers found Walter MacDonald injured near a bus stop  at about 7:10 p.m. Feb. 8, and he was taken to a hospital.

A man at the scene acknowledged his involvement in the stabbing, police said.

He was released, pending further investigation, after he and witnesses were interviewed by detectives, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
