Officials said impairment may be a factor after a man ran his vehicle into a Sun City resident’s car Thursday morning.

The incident occurred Feb. 23 at about 3 a.m. near the intersection of 107th and Peoria avenues.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Callbert Gillett said a man was driving his truck westbound on Peoria Avenue when he drove into a car parked in the driveway of a residence.

The homeowner was inside, but Sgt. Gillett said no one was injured.

Deputies detained the driver but he was not formally arrested.

The westbound lanes of Peoria Avenue were closed while deputies investigated.
