Man commits suicide at Scottsdale Fashion Square

Scottsdale Police officers witnessed a man commit suicide at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall April 7. This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community, according to Scottsdale Police.

A man died by suicide in a Scottsdale Fashion Square mall garage April 7.
Police officers were called to the scene in the blue parking lot of the mall around 11:30 a.m., according to a press release from the Scottsdale Police Department.
The man was transported to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives and crime scene specialists responded as part of the death investigation process.
The only reported injuries are to the adult man whom officers witnessed shoot himself, according to the release.
There is no ongoing threat to the community, and this was an isolated incident, the release said.
