Court date set for man accused of threatening Maricopa County Supervisor

A man accused of sending a threatening email to Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates is scheduled to have an appearance in Maricopa Superior Court on Oct. 5.

The man, Ryan Stuart Hadland, is accused of sending the email to Gates that insinuated the public official could be killed by someone slipping poison into his food.

Hadland’s attorney, Janet Altschuler, hung up on an Independent Newsmedia reporter after asking about the case over the phone on Tuesday afternoon.
