Officials said his injuries were life threatening.

Man, 80, pulled from Scottsdale house fire with life-threatening injuries

Scottsdale firefighters said an 80-year-old man has been taken to a burn unit after he was removed from a house fire Monday morning.

Officials said his injuries were life threatening.

His wife is being evaluated but has non-life-threatening injuries, firefighters said.

The fire near Scottsdale Road and McDonald Drive has been extinguished, and the cause is under investigation, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department.
