Local cities go through many steps to ensure quality

Mark Williams hasn’t killed a goldfish in 20 years.

Williams, supervisor of the city of Peoria’s Greenway Water Treatment Plant, keeps an eye on a handful of goldfish at the laboratory room where the water’s cloudiness and pH levels are tested six times a day.

The plant is located near 75th Avenue and Greenway Road.
