A major remodel of a downtown Chandler street will wait until late spring, multiple members of the city’s communication staff confirmed.
City staff were hoping to complete the project before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season this year and needed to get the project started by late July in order to accomplish that. However, that timeline proved to be too tight, so the project will start in May 2024.
City staff confirmed the $1.94 million contract, awarded to Sunland Asphalt & Construction Inc., won’t change, except for the timeline.
