Maintenance work to close I-10 section in Phoenix

Posted

A section of eastbound Interstate 10 will close Friday night and reopen Sunday morning for bridge inspection and maintenance work, state transportation officials said.

The road will be closed  between the I-17 Stack interchange near 27th Avenue and Seventh Street.

Restrictions will be in place from 10 p.m. Nov. 3 to 10 a.m. Nov. 5.

Both I-17 ramps to eastbound I-10 at the Stack will be closed, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Eastbound I-10 traffic can detour to southbound I-17 and connect with I-10 at the Split interchange near Phoenix Sky Harbor  Airport, ADOT officials said.

Drivers in the West Valley also can consider using southbound/eastbound Loop 202  to connect with I-10 near Chandler Boulevard.
