A convention that’s part horror, part sci-fi, part fantasy is coming to Glendale in July, along with top genre celebrities.
The Mad Monster Party Arizona returns to the West Valley Friday through Sunday, July 7-9, at Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, 9495 W. Entertainment Blvd., Glendale.
Among the many stars scheduled to appear are Rainn Wilson (“The Office,” “House of 1,000 Corpses”), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Tom Atkins (“Halloween 3,” “Creepshow,” “The Fog”), and Cassandra Peterson (“Elvira, Mistress of the Dark”).
Vendors will get together with fans to trade stories, attend informative panels, buy autographs and merchandise, and meet new like-minded monsters.
Hours are 6-11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $80 for all three days; $35 for Friday or Sunday; and $45 for Saturday.
Tickets purchased in advance come at a discounted price, and the price does go up at the door. Cash is only accepted at the door.
