Halloween comes a little early to Glendale with a horror, sci-fi and fantasy convention next month.
Mad Monster Party, which bills itself as “Arizona’s Horror Convention,” brings all kinds of celebrities, vendors, panels and merchandise from all things horror to the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, 9495 W. Coyotes Blvd., in the Westgate Entertainment District. The spooky fun gets under way at 6 p.m. Friday, July 2 and runs through Sunday, July 4.
The weekend features a Saturday night costume contest with $500 going to the winner, a charity auction benefiting Scares That Care, and an R.I.P. Party.
