LUELLA J. LIEBEL, 89LUELLA J. LIEBEL, 89, of Jefferson died on Sept. 6, 2008, at Countryside Nursing Home in Jefferson, Wis. She was born on Dec. 8, 1918, in Vivian South Dakota, daughter of the late Ole and Sina (Evenson) Rognstad. She married George F. Liebel on June 29, 1943, in Jefferson; he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1971. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Pierre South Dakota in 1940. Luella was employed at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse for many years retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and had been a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul in Jefferson. She is survived by one daughter Georgia Pollock of Gardner Kansas; One son Joseph (Susan) Liebel of Jefferson; Three grandchildren; Todd Pollock, Patricia (Jay) Fabing, Kathleen (Thomas) Brandtonies; Four great-grandchildren; Allison, Erin, Thomas Fabing, and Joseph Brandtonies; One brother; Sverre (Mary) Rognstad of Madison, S.D. She is also preceded in death by two sisters; Olga Rognstad, Mabel Tofte, and one brother, Edwin Rognstad. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating burial at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial may be given in Luella's memory to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice or Tomorrow's Hope, or Donor's Choice
