Lucille Vera Miller, 97, died November 2 in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born October 22, 1927, in Hazleton, Iowa, daughter of Gerturde and Gordon Birchard. Lucille graduated from Hazleton High School in 1946. She attended Pitze’s Beauty School in Waterloo, Iowa,and went to work as a hairdresser. On November 19, 1947, she married Robert William Miller and they raised three daughters in Waterloo and Sioux City, Iowa. They moved to Sun City West in 1985. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Miller (Tom Swenson) of Sun City, Susan Miller of Phoenix, Karen Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska, and granddaughter, Andrea Sweeting of Fort Collins, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Matthew Sweeting. Services are being arranged at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sun City West.
