Comedian and storyteller Jen Kober is bringing her comedy to Phoenix in September.
The Louisiana native will perform at the Desert Ridge Improv in Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Kober has crafted a style born out of her Southern upbringing, and is the headlining comedian for Cirque Du Soleil’s Las Vegas show “Mad Apple” and previously earned the award for Best Comedic Performance on NPR’s hit storytelling show “Snap Judgement.”
Her TV appearances include “Hacks,” “The Righteous Gemstones,” “The Mandalorian,” “Dead to Me,” “Diary of a Future President,” and “American Horror Story.”
Kober’s new comedy special “No Flies On Me” premiered in June. In the new special, she brings audiences together with stories about dealing with hometown hicks, unforgiving fruit flies and California candy cartels.
"It's all based on my wild adventures out in the world,” she shared in a press release. “I'm a Southern Jewish lesbian with a Catholic school education – comedy is what I was built for. Making people laugh has always helped me navigate life's tricky intricacies and embrace my unusual circumstances.”
