After several contentious meetings and a vocal community, a member of the Recreation Centers of Sun City West board will face a recall election.
RCSCW officials scheduled the election for Monday, Aug. 16, after a petition for recall targeted governing board member Lou Mancuso who joined the board March 29. Early voting will begin Thursday, Aug. 5. The needed signatures are required by Arizona Law and the association bylaws and were met.
Because of the requirements, association officials have to schedule the election within 30 days of receiving a petition with the appropriate amount of signatures. In a press release July 20, the association wrote, “that is why the time frame is short and the election is not being held at a time when more members are in town.”
