Looking for ‘cat tracks’ in Sun City

Committee seeks solutions

Sun City resident Pam Schwartz was nearly hit head-on by a wrong way driver in Sun City.

She was driving on Thunderbird Boulevard when another driver made a turn at 105th Avenue. But that driver cut the turn sharp enough that the vehicle went into the lane where Schwartz was driving. A collision was avoided, but the incident was enough for Schwartz to seek solutions. As Sun City Home Owners Association Roads and Safety Committee chairwoman, she had an outlet for her concerns.

It was not the first time this concern was raised with Maricopa County Department of Transportation officials.
