Looking back at 20 years of GCC North

... and looking forward, too. Ideas abound for future Glendale Community College growth.

It’s well true that 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Glendale Community College’s north campus, at 5727 W. Happy Valley Road. That’s certainly when officials began the expansion.

Its story goes back much further than that, though.

The 75-acre site was purchased with funds from a successful 1984 capital bond campaign with an eye even then on future expansion, at a time when the college itself wasn’t 20-years-old.
