Long-term solution to Rio Verde Foothills water crisis could get pricey

The long-term solution to the water crisis in the Rio Verde Foothills is starting to look like a costly one.

Private water utility EPCOR has filed an application with the Arizona Corporation Commission to build a standpipe in the area northwest of Scottsdale to serve the community on a long-term basis.
However, the cost of using that system is could be high for area homeowners.
