Loise Ellen Watling Kiesling, May 27, 1919 - January 31, 2018.Loise Kiesling was born in Rochester, NY, and died in Peoria, AZ, at the age of 98. She was the daughter of the late Robert Watling and Hazel Walsh Watling. She grew up in the little town of Dundee, NY and moved to Rochester after graduating from high school. She met her future husband, Frank Kiesling in Rochester and they married in Dundee on August 1, 1943.Loise was predeceased by her husband in 2007 and her brother Charles and sister Harriet. She is survived by her 3 sons and their wives, Robert (Susanah), David (Earllyn) and John (Marilyn), 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren in addition to her brother Edwin and sisters Pauline and Margaret.Loise spent the early years of married life as a mother and home maker. During this time the family (including Frank's mother and father) would take a 4 week vacation every year and drive to see the sights of the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Loise's job was to get everyone packed and ready to go at the start of each day, prepare any meals planned for the day and keep the kids under control... no small task when traveling long distances. By the 1960's Loise had visited all 48 contiguous states, most of Canada and Mexico City. When Frank retired in 1975, they moved to Sun City, AZ, where Loise started a whole new life. Her adventurous spirit for travel continued with she and Frank making yearly trips to Europe, with France being their favorite country. It was also at this time that she discovered a hidden talent for art and produced some beautiful watercolor paintings; which won numerous awards at local art shows. She also used this talent along with her love of poetry to craft handmade personal greeting cards for her friends and family. She also enjoyed bicycling, hiking, table tennis and swimming. Her favorite hikes were in the White Tank Mountains where she and Frank could be found once a week in the cooler weather. In 2004, Loise suffered a major stroke and was unable to care for herself. Luckily she ended up at The Golden Place Assisted Care home where the owner, staff and her friends from Sun City provided a loving community of friends to support her during her time of need.
