Lois H. Tyaack, 93, of Sun City West, AZ, has joined her beloved husband of 52 years, Franz.Lois was born April 15, 1924, in Bellefonte, PA. Graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn and Katherine Gibbs in New York City, followed by an 8-year career in advertising with the American Tobacco Company.After her 1951 marriage to Franz, she enjoyed volunteer work in libraries where they lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania and in Burlington, Ontario, when Franz was transferred to be President of Westinghouse Electric in Canada.Moved to Sun City West in 1987. Founder of the Sun Cities chapter of The Lois Club in 2000. She was a student with her husband at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in NYC and Fred Astaire Dance World in Sun City West. Their other love was cruising. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with 54 days around South America and down the Amazon. Member of Hamilton Golf and Country Club, Lakes Club, and Palmbrook Country Club to keep up the dancing skills. Member of Presbyterian Church, Monroeville, PA, Dutch Reform Church, Canada, Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, AZ.Lois is survived by daughters Jan Wade of Erie, CO and Patti Tyaack of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, two grandchildren: Andrea Nall and Spardha Townend.Services were held in Sun City West, Arizona.
