Lois Ann Kitchens

Lois Ann Kitchens, born May 25, 1930, in Hudson, Wisconsin, passed peacefully July 13, 2025, surrounded by family. She is the last surviving child of Earl and Lois Wilcox.
50 years ago, Lois lost her husband, James ‘Red’ Kitchens. Married for 27 years, they started their family that now boasts over 97 family members.

She’s survived by her children Catherine ‘Kate’ Malloy (Pat), Craig Kitchens (Patti), Deborah Keiser (Paul), Donna Marquez (Juan), Julie Campbell (Frank), and Doug Kitchens and over 63 grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.

Lois was known for her smile, deep Christian faith, and love of her family. She loved to sing; active for 50+ years in the Maryvale Baptist Church choir. Since moving to Sun City in 2002, singing in the Bellevue Heights Church choir and the Sun City Ladies Chorus.

Her family is certain that she is in heaven singing and dancing with her family and friends.
Lois was able to stay in her home for the last few years because of the loving in-home care she received from her family. In March after suffering a stroke, Lois was moved into Hospice care.

Visitation service scheduled Friday, July 25th, 6pm to 8pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home, Glendale.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 26th at 10am at Bellevue Heights Church in Sun City.
In lieu of flowers and gifts consider a contribution to Hospice of the Valley, Bellevue Heights Church, Phoenix Rescue Mission, or a charity of your chcoice.
