Local mayors pledge unity as West Valley grows

Annual chat focuses on city cooperation

As the U.S. Census Bureau releases its 2020 figures, the growth of the northwest Valley — and the Phoenix area as a whole — is undisputed.

But what’s not guaranteed is that neighborly municipalities will play nice as they fight for businesses and housing developments to attract more people.

That doesn’t seem to be a problem with Surprise Mayor Skip Hall, El Mirage Mayor Alexis Hermosillo and Youngtown Mayor Mike LeVault, though.
