Litchfield business slows as county, state coordinate water pressure investigation

Litchfield Park’s La Loma Village senior living community said they’ve struggled to move people into their community because of low water pressures as the city, county and state collaborate in an investigation into a company's efforts to provide water to the community.

The Arizona Corporation Commission opened an investigation into Liberty Utilities and its low water pressure output for residents in Litchfield Park and the north Goodyear area on Aug. 22. 

Liberty Utilities president Moses Thompson, in a Sept. 1 letter, said water reduction was necessary to ensure adequate coverage. The Daily Independent discovered Tuesday that some businesses said they were economically affected by the pressure loss.
