Litchfield Park council OKs $214,517 expenditure for three new police vehicles, four radios

City also inks fleet maintenance agreement with Avondale

The city of Litchfield Park will purchase three Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility police vehicles and four police radios for use by its new patrol officers from the Avondale Police Department, at a cost of $214,517.

Under a contract approved last month, Avondale PD will take over police services from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department when the new fiscal year begins Thursday, July 1.

The city already has one Tahoe in its inventory.
