Progress is starting to take off on the replacement of the liner at Viewpoint Lake, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd.
Work ramped up last week as demolished concrete taken from the lake banks to serve as fish habitats was placed on pads installed on the lake bottom. Squares of liner material were first laid down then a pad of concrete was added for the material to sit upon.
Liner was installed on the banks in phase one from halfway around Hillside Park to halfway around Emerald Point. Workers are now expected to start installation of the concrete banks, according to Cory Severson, Pacific Aquascapes president.
