Lindley: Senators must act to save funding for Medicare Advantage plan

Posted

Healthcare is one of the biggest sources of worry – and expense – any senior can face.

Finding the right health plan is a huge relief.

Medicare Advantage provided that peace of mind for my husband and I when we moved to Arizona four years ago. Our plan had zero premiums and all the preventative care and wellness programs we needed.

More recently, after my husband’s health declined and he needed critical care, Medicare Advantage was there for us again. There are nearly 600,000 Arizonans like me who depend on Medicare Advantage for the healthcare we require.

I hope Senators Kyrsten Sinema, Mark Kelly and the rest of our federal delegation will remember that as they debate spending plans this winter.
