Library board discusses allowing privileges for Maricopa County residents

Borrowing now restricted to those living in city boundaries

The city of Apache Junction is looking for ways to allow some Maricopa County residents to use its library for free.

The measure was a topic at a recent city library board meeting on how it allows county residents living within the city’s boundaries to access the facility.

“The more direct question, I believe, was (on) Maricopa County residents who live in the Apache Junction city limits, about them being able to have a free full-access library card,” Library Director Pamela Harrison said at the Dec. 10 meeting of the municipality’s library board.
