Liberty brings new well online to strengthen West Valley water supply

Liberty Utilities has received approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to begin operating its new Monument Point Well in Litchfield Park, marking a major milestone in the company’s efforts to expand and stabilize the West Valley’s water supply.

The well, located near Camelback Road and North Wigwam Creek Boulevard, is now online and capable of delivering up to 650 gallons of water per minute from a depth of 620 feet. It is the third groundwater source Liberty has added to its system in the past two years, following the completion of Well 19B and Marbella Well 2.

“The Monument Point Well was strategically planned to supplement our existing water sources and provide greater reliability for our customers,” said Alison Vai, Liberty’s senior manager of communications and marketing. “Each project we undertake is a reflection of our promise to deliver safe, dependable water and wastewater services, today and for years to come. The Monument Point Well is another example of this commitment in action.”
