Liberty board member calls for investigation in superintendent contract

Liberty Elementary School District Board Member, Michael Todd, has brought concerns of "underhanded" conduct against fellow board members and the incoming superintendent. After the most recent board meeting, he formally called for investigations into the district's contracting practices.

The concerns, detailed in a series of public statements and a formal request for investigation, center on an independent contractor agreement that would pay Dr. Bridget Duzy $840.91 a day, for 22 days of transition services, amounting to approximately $18,500 prior to her official July 1 start date.

"The underhanded approach that this group took is horrific” Todd stated, specifically naming Board President Sara Schmidt, Member Kellie Zimmerman, then-Vice President Bryan Cirrincione, and Dr. Duzy as subjects of his concern. "Who gets paid $20K for 22 days of work to transition into a position?"
