Region rival Scottsdale Chaparral was - by and large - keeping its turnovers down and breaking the Lions press. It added up to a tighter than expected 6A play-in game between #10 seed Liberty (18-7 entering the game) and #23 Chaparral (6-19).
The Lions survived this elimination game 83-77 thanks largely to dominant rebounding on both ends of the court and two huge forced turnovers in the final two minutes.
