A permit for a comprehensive sign plan was approved recently for the Level One Arcade Bar in downtown Mesa.
The special-use permit for the business west of Center Street and north of Main Street was approved Oct. 4 by the Mesa Board of Adjustment in a 5-0 vote of a consent agenda with other items. Chair Alexis Wagner and Boardmember Chris Jones were absent.
The property is in a central Main Street character area of the general plan that recognizes specialized signs and the creation of distinctive places. The zoning is downtown core with a downtown events overlay, Staff Planner Sergio Solis said at a study session prior to the Oct. 4 meeting.
