Letters: District already wasting our hard-earned money

Posted

While perusing this week's Surprise Independent, I was flabbergasted to see a paid advertisement from Dysart Unified School District.

Since when does a public school district need to use my hard-earned tax dollars to advertise themselves when whatever information they feel needs to be published can be done by a dozen other free methods? I thought the override was all about the students.

Yeah right, I didn’t buy that then and now this is just the first example of district funds being wasted that I’ve noticed since the election but I’m sure I will find dozens more in the near future as the Dysart School District knows there are plenty of lackeys here in Surprise to promote their waste of funds and will gladly step back into the ring to lead the begging for more.

Speaking of the lackeys who led the yes on the override campaign, I hope you are happy with yourselves and please wipe that egg off your faces.

I hope all of you who voted yes to the override are happy how your tax dollars are being wasted by Dysart now that they have fooled you into giving them more of your tax dollars and you remember this ridiculous, frivolous waste of your money the next time they come begging for more of it. And they will, most likely, during the next election in two years.
