Concerning the problems we have with drivers here in Sun City West, I’m sure the same is true in surrounding areas as well.
I had a close call about four years ago with a car running a stop sign in broad daylight, and nearly crashing into me. I was driving a golf car. There is a continuing problem with rude drivers, drivers failing to stop at stop signs, running red lights, etc. It seems they cannot look one minute into the future and realize the terrible hurt and life changing injuries that can be caused by them trying to save a few seconds.
I cannot fathom what must go on in those minds. After the incident that I had, I began to turn my lights on in my golf car even when driving in daytime. It seemed that the other drivers became more aware that I existed. I have no proof that this helped, except my opinion based on observations.

I am offering this in the hope that more golf car drivers will turn their lights on anytime they are the road, day or evening. There are also times in the early morning or evening when the sun, at just the right angle, can make another vehicle virtually invisible for a few seconds. A golf car, or auto for that matter, remains visible if they have their lights on.
Why not try it? It costs nothing and, who knows, it just might save someone from a serious accident.
