It has previously been said that Arizona GOP candidates have been of substandard quality. There is currently only one good quality Republican in the Senate race. Sheriff Mark Lamb has the best chance of succeeding because he is a known political brand who puts his life on the line every day in service of this state.
As sheriff of Pinal County, he is on the front lines of combating human traffickers and drug smugglers. He understands the consequences of the humanitarian crisis at the border and the impact that it has had on local communities. Sheriff Lamb also knows the resources that state and local law enforcement need from the Federal government in order to stop the flow of drugs and trafficked people that are entering Arizona.
Mark Lamb is also is an experienced politician and campaigner who has been elected twice as sheriff in one of Arizona’s fastest growing counties.
As an experienced campaigner, Sheriff Lamb would be able to create a broad coalition of voters that would include rural conservatives and suburban moderates. Similar to Joe Lombardo in Nevada, Sheriff Lamb would be able to campaign on his experience tackling crime and standing up against Covid restrictions.
In order to win in 2024, Arizona Republicans need a real contender for the Senate race. Arizona Republicans need Sheriff Lamb.
