Unfortunately, opinions expressed in the Independent this summer have revealed a great deal of hateful rhetoric. What a shame that a newspaper designed to enhance our knowledge of local issues has become a platform for bitterness toward our government in Washington.
Will the assassination of Charlie Kirk encourage all of us that spreading hatred only leads to death and destruction? We should expect more from our neighbors.
