OPINION — Since rates seem to be going up every other year, wouldn't it wise to start planning a solar grid to take advantage of the 300-plus days of sunshine in the state of Arizona?
Every home and business should have solar panels in our state. Just think of the amount of electricity we could generate and maybe sell to other states, or trade for water from water-logged states (via a water pipeline). If we can build oil pipelines, we can build water pipelines. I know that a project like that is massive and way more involved, but let's get some funding from the federal government or other sources and plan for the future.
