Republicans running together as a ticket raced out to a commanding lead in the ballot counts released through Wednesday evening for Legislative District 14 House of Representatives.
Newcomer Tyler Farnsworth had 15,669 votes for 41.63%, followed by the lone incumbent, Laurin Hendrix with 14,409 votes and 38.29%. Challenger Jedidiah Lyons was at 7,558 for 20.08%. The top two will advance to the general election.
Three persons are advancing to the general election because they faced no opposition in the primary: Mylie Biggs, a Republican for the Senate; Stephanie Walsh, a Democrat for the Senate; and Mary Rose, a Democrat for the House.
