SUN CITY - Laveda Mae Boggs passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. She was born on Jan. 27, 1942, in Russelville, Ark., to John and Lillie Taylor. At a young age her family moved to Campbell, Calif., where she was raised. She married Jimmie Boggs in 1958, and they were married for 58 years. Together they adopted two children, Jimmy Lee and Tammy Lynn. Laveda and Jimmie moved around quite a bit. At each assignment, she worked as a secretary. Her biggest enjoyment was sewing and she was gifted. She made sure her kids were the best dressed by sewing the clothes they wore. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy; brother, Bob; and sister, Inez. Laveda is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Jimmy Lee Boggs, of Phoenix; daughter, Tammy Lynn (Robert) Deela, of Thomas, Okla.; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Houston, of Sandpoint, Idaho. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held following the funeral at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 12:30 p.m.
