Late fees, utility shutoffs return to Gilbert on Nov. 1

Gilbert utility customers with past-due balances have until Nov. 1 to make arrangements with the town before late fees and service disconnections resume.

Town officials outlined the return to normal billing operations during the Gilbert Town Council’s Sept. 15 meeting, saying notices were scheduled to go out Sept. 16 to customers with overdue balances.

The notices begin a 45-day final grace period before the town again begins assessing late fees and disconnecting service for nonpayment.
